Beatle News # 30 : Sunday, 26th of January, 2014
2014 – This Sunday, at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, The Beatles were awarded with the Life Time Achievement Award. Added to which, Paul McCartney bagged the award for Best Music in Film (previously known as the Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video) for his song, ‘Live Kisses’. The two living Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, performed the song ‘Queenie Eye’ together on stage (‘Queenie Eye’, is a song from McCartney’s solo album NEW, released in 2013). Besides that Ringo Starr did a solo on stage as well; the song ‘Photograph’, from his 1973 solo album RINGO.

(* Special Note: Unfortunately I did not get to watch Grammy Awards, in fact it’s been a while since I last saw the Grammy’s anyway. Heard about the winners and the show only later.
Plus, The Beatles receiving the Life Time Achievement Award, don’t you feel it’s a bit late in the day? They should have been awarded this at least three decades ago.)
Nuwan Sen & The Beatles (Beatle News)
I would say well deserved. Beatles was definitely one of the greatest band.
True, and my all time favourite. Their songs are timeless.
Of course the band existed, before I came into existence 🙂
Thanks for the comment.
Yeah it IS a bit weird to think of them winning the Lifetime Achievement award now, especially when only 2 of them are still alive!
As for the Grammy’s, I don’t think I’ve ever watched them. To be perfectly honest I don’t like a lot of the musicians/songs that win awards. So perhaps neither of us is missing out on much 🙂
Exactly what I felt. They should have won back in the 80’s at least when three of them were still alive. John Lennon’s death, of course was too sudden, him missing out on the experience of winning the Lifetime Achievement trophy, is somewhat understandable.
And yes, the last time I watched the Grammy’s was most probably back in the 1990’s. I don’t even remember.
