Latest pair of LADIES JEANS, for 2018, unveiled !!!!!!

The latest trend in Jeans for Ladies, has been unveiled (with matching footwear), for 2018, and they look hideous. These detachable Jeans, also known as Crotchless Jeans, look like micro-mini skirts, with pant legs hanging on suspenders. This reminds me of vintage women’s underclothing, where suspenders held stockings onto their underwear. Would people actually wear these hideous denims???? What do you think???

INK-tober comes to an End!!

Ink-tober 2017, has come to end. Today, was the last day!!

A recently befriended fellow artist, told me about this. Ink-tober, is a drawing challenge started by illustrator and animator, Jake Parker, back in 2009. So every October, he gives a challenge for 31 days, with one topic per day. People storm the net, posting their ink sketches per day with the hashtags #inktober & #inktober2017! So I joined the challenge, this year. I couldn’t work on it every day, but when I could, I took my time to work on a proper drawing (or did a quick rough sketch), and posted them on Facebook; and a few on Twitter; with the above mentioned hashtags##!!

So now that the month has come to an end, and I’ve done 17 works for Ink-tober, I thought I’d share it with my fellow Bloggers!! 😀

Question Time # 013: SEPTEMBER

Welcome to September 2017!!!!!

Come September, and signs of fall, with it’s colourful Autumn leaves should be taking form, on one side of the globe; whilst blossoms with a hint of Spring ought to be appearing on the other; while here in the tropics, of heaty humidity, the monotonous weather never changes, much like anything else, ever (at least never for the better).

Yet, lets welcome this new month with open arms; and let us keep hoping, against hope, that things shall improve. So, to all my fellow bloggers, wish you a great new month!!!!! 😀

WHAT???? ‘Gone with the Wind’ racist?? Are they MAD????

If Americans think that one of the biggest racial issues Trumpland is facing today, is the viewing of Gone with the Wind (1939); they’ve totally gone BONKERS!!

The Orpheum Theatre, in Memphis, Tennessee; recently pulled out the showing of this iconic Hollywood epic, on the grounds it was too insensitive for modern audiences. That’s soooo stupid. Are they insane??? Gone with the Wind, especially taking into account the time period it was made in (minus modern day technical wizardry), happens to be one of the greatest Hollywood creations ever. Plus, it’s my second favourite film ever (pls also see my post My Favourite movie by decade, My Favourite Oscar Winner per decade from March 2014; and my list of critiques Why I love …. from November/December 2012 on IMDB)

The movie depicts the Deep South, during the Civil War!!! A very racist era. So I don’t think the film itself is being racist. It just shows what Americans were like back then. And it actually could be educational, showcasing the way non-Caucasians were treated, in a secondary manner. One can learn as to how wrong slavery was, or any form of subjugation is, even today. The mistakes of past centuries are well highlighted. Added to which one shouldn’t forget that Hattie McDaniel bagged the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ trophy at the 12th Annual Academy Awards, for this movie (see my post 75 years ago – At The Oscars from February 2015). Not only did she win, but McDaniel became the first black actress to be nominated for, and win, an Oscar, ever. Making it a major landmark event, in modern American history. Besides there are far worse racist acts, all around the world, than showing a classic movie!!
